Eater: Sandwich Favorites Wax Paper Debut Their Chinatown Shop

RC Provisions customer Wax Paper opened a second location, this one in Chinatown:

This new Wax Paper is a follow-up to the still-operating original, a clamshell of a place pushed inside a repurposed shipping container in Frogtown, right by the Los Angeles River. From there, owners Lauren and Peter Lemos have built a cult-like following for their sandwiches and sides, leading devotees to stand in long lines for options like the Larry Mantle, offered with bologna, salami, spicy aioli, and more. Each of Wax Paper’s sandwiches are named for various NPR hosts.
